Grief and bereavement Counselling

The finality of loss makes it one of the hardest transitions that we confront irrespective of the form it takes.

We often immediately think of loss as the death of a beloved person. However, loss takes many other forms too. Amongst these are the losses of health, a beloved pet, phases of life, work, relationships, stillbirths, miscarriages and abortions.

It is not possible to remove the pain of loss, however it is possible to create a life beyond it. There is a range of resonses that we all encounter in grief, such as denial, despair, and anger. However more significantly what grief means to each of us and the way we manage it, is highly individual.

There is no right way to grieve. Each of us must work out our own way, and assisting with this is one of the fundamental aspects of grief counselling.
